We’ve gone ahead and sharded on NIFTEX the baddest and rarest collection of Bored Apes so we can own them as a community. This is the first step in the launch of an APE DAO, which we plan to make the largest NFT DAO ever with a strong community, while creating shared value for all the owners. Read on to find out more..

It was always the art for me. The apes looked super dope and Pranksy starting to buy them just pushed me to get more of them. In the metaverse of alternate identities, we’ve often seen that behind the veils, we are still looking for a sense of belonging to a tribe of degens and misfits coming together, only to still try and find some individuality in the chaos. Apes give you that.

Sapiens evolved from apes, so its only poetic that our ancient ancestors are today leading us on the cutting edge of blockchain technology powered NFT’s. Currently, we are seen as a niche within a niche. And rather than wondering what lies in the future of our world, we are in a unique position to define it and build it. That is a powerful realisation. We are the masters of our own fate.

So here’s the plan and how it plays out:

Step 1: Sharded a bundle of 49 of my best apes + a fem cryptopunk so that they can be owned together by the community. Someone who wants to be a part of the ape journey can’t shell out almost 1 ETH to buy one can still participate via this. Here’s the link to the bundle: https://bit.ly/3wZJ00E

One can put in as much as one wants, as long as shards last. You get $APED tokens in your wallet that represent ownership of this bundle. But we don’t stop here.

Step 2: $APED also represents your share of the DAO and voting rights in it. The DAO (Decentralised Autonomous Organisation) will own all the ETH generated by the bundle sale in step 1. This means when you buy into the step 1, you’re in fact getting back double the value.

Step 3: The only other way to become part of APE DAO in the future would be by contributing more Bored Apes to the DAO or by paying a significant amount of ETH (the DAO as a community will decide the rules going forward). If we are successful in selling out the shards in step 1, the DAO will generate around 70 ETH of funds. These funds will be used entirely to buy more dope Bored Apes and hodl them, thereby increasing the value of the DAO’s bundle holdings long term and helping to foster a strong ape community. The apes, if they so decide, can use the funds to ape into other premium and rare NFT’s if the opportunity arises from time to time.

The End Game: Apes Together Strong. The strength, intellect and degenosity of the ape community DAO will help make this the largest, baddest, sickest DAO in the decentralised metaverse, holding the most valuable assets. DAO will work on creating more and more utility with the art and promote projects that help enhance the value of our apes. The DAO will be open to partnerships and collaborations. DAO membership tokens would be tradable if someone would like to one day leave the ape clan to venture out by themselves into the jungle, they can do so. We have plans to have on board as advisors and members some of the smartest members of the NFT community, stay tuned.

What is Kylo getting out of it?

Nothing immediately, just shares of the APE DAO, the value of which the community will determine in the future. As highlighted in Step 2, all of the ETH generated from the step 1 will be donated to the DAO to help make it larger. And I get the thrill of interacting and hanging out with the best apes in the world. 🚀🤙🏻

There’s a small chance that Step 1 doesn’t sell out, in which case, as per the smart contracts of NIFTEX, your ETH will be returned to you and my apes to me. Which isn’t such a bad outcome, but we all know that fate loves irony and the most likely outcome is also the crazy one.

(Maybe not far in the future, we will get Elon to change his twitter DP to an astronaut ape (which is part of the DAO collection btw) ;)
